The Monsoon Society is dedicated to the study, practice and advancement of the cultural arts of Southeast Asia in British Columbia, Canada – and elsewhere that its activities may have similar impact. The Society provides services, resources, and funding to its membership active in the public promotion of the cultural arts from SE Asian countries such as Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia. The cultural arts of interest are historical and traditional warrior practices, including related martial arts, music, dance, performance and theatre, weapons craft, dress and clothing, customs and language.

Membership in the Monsoon Society is open to groups actively promoting similar cultural arts.
